Goldfinches

Here are several Goldfinches that visited two finch feeders in the back yard.  The first six pictures were taken late in April and the next eight were taken three days later.  One can see how much brighter the goldfinches were after just a few days.

Special Goldfinch Visitor

One day while we were in the Living Room watching TV Louie jumped up and noticed something in the front window.  Though difficult to see in the first picture a male goldfinch flew up to the window and sat on the window frame.  The goldfinch stayed for several minutes just looking around inside!  Louie was fascinated and so were we.  Funny thing is a few years later another goldfinch stopped by in the same spot on the window!  No way could it have been the same goldfinch, could it?  We'll always wonder.
